NEW WORKERS’ COMPENSATION LAWS OF 2016
    (And Effectively Closing Claims Loopholes)

Professor David J. Chetcuti is back and proudly announces his annual five-hour seminar on the New Workers’ Compensation Laws of 2016 along with many other topics.

In addition to new laws, this unique program will also demonstrate how 9 loopholes involving escaping an MPN, QME disqualification and UR/IMR objections, can be effectively closed shut so that a judge will have no option but to rule in favor of the employer. This topic is a must for attorneys, claims professionals, employers and especially medical case managers.

    Special Bonus Topics:
    a. An explanation of new laws and regulations along with their impact on claims.
    b. A discussion of tricks played by PTP physicians to get around UR denials of Rx meds and how these physicians are fooling UR.
    c. Additional loopholes will be discussed on how applicant attorneys escape an MPN, disqualify an AME/QME report, and inappropriately obtain vouchers for their clients.
    d. Surprise! - Regular death benefits do not end at age 18. So why are benefits being discontinued?
    e. A fun topic on what is not taught in law school that impacts workers’ compensation
    f. The Petition For Reconsideration. Why are so few petitions accepted? The instructor has ghost-written 12 petitions over the years for various defense firms. All 12 petitions have been Granted by the Appeals Board! Find out the tricks for a successful appeal.
    g. Federal updates involving workers’ compensation along with an explanation of why a defendant encourages an appeal to IMR when developing an MSA allocation.
    h. We still have problems understanding the SJDB voucher for a post 1/1/13 injury. Common misconceptions will be discussed along with a neat defense strategy to avoid issuing two vouchers.
    i. Lien activation fee. Contrary to what everyone believes the issue is not resolved! Another constitutional challenge is now before the state appellate court.
    j. A new credential program (WCCC) for workers’ compensation claims consultants and risk managers will be discussed.

    Free Gift:
Every attendee will receive a free 2016 PD rating chart with updated TD chart, COLA and life pension figures.
